Having me manage your bookkeeping is not only more efficient, it is also more convenient and cost-effective than maintaining an in-house staff.

I will maintain complete sets of books, keep records of accounts, verify the procedures used for recording financial transactions, and provide personal bookkeeping services. I also will complete a full set of books up to and including a trial balance, with superior attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. It is crucial for us that all client and organizational information is kept confidential at all time.

Duties Performed:

  • Setting up and maintaining financial records using either a desktop or cloud-based bookkeeping system.
  • Full cycle bookkeeping: I will take care of all your accounts receivables, and bad debts; do all accounts payables on time; prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements unaudited; do all bank reconciliations; do your GST, PST, WBC, T1, T2, and payroll taxes; and take care of all your payroll.
  • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, and maintain general ledgers.
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls, supplier invoices, government remittances as well as other expenditures.
  • Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers’ compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents.
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.

How do I work:

The first step is an assessment of your current system. This includes a review of your existing database and systems which are currently in place to process your financial information. Understanding your business is critical to setting up the best system for you.

The next step is setting you up with a customized folder tailored to the specific needs of your business. As new paperwork comes across your desk, simply place it in the file folder.

If you prefer a paperless option, all of the documents can be scanned and electronically uploaded via our website into a confidential mailbox assigned to you.  In order to provide you with access to your data 24 hours a day/7 days a week, we provide you with a username and password. Once this initial setup process is complete, you are able to look at your financials or the details of your transactions, whenever you choose.

Depending on your needs, I come to you on a weekly, semi-monthly or monthly basis to pick up your file. 72 hours later, your bookkeeping records are complete, accurate and up-to-date; and all documentation is returned to you. At the end of the year, you have accurate, organized records for year-end closing procedures. My goal is to reduce your accounting costs by minimizing the year-end adjustment entries.
